My Boston Toyota dealership was good to me and my owners liked their salesman there. Being a 2010 Toyota Prius, I was surprised I had been in stock more than a week at my dealership in Boston. Toyota had equipped me well and I was glad when my new family showed up and seemed so happy to buy me.

My owners are a young couple with two little boys. Considering the boys are so young, they’re very well behaved and haven’t spilled anything in me yet. They’ve also developed their parents’ taste for seafood at a young age. That’s why yesterday they drove me into Boston to go to a fun seafood restaurant in Boston Harbor.

On the way in, I got 50mpg! My family always plays this game when they drive me, where they try to see how little gas they can use getting from once place to another. It’s a lot of fun and I get to show off how efficient I am. When we got to The Barking Crab in Boston, my owners parked me and my family got out. It was a nice evening and a lot of people were walking near the harbor. I got lots of looks and comments since I’m a particularly well equipped Toyota Prius.

When the family came out I noticed the boys had butter all over their faces from eating lobster! I was so worried that would be the first time I got food on my seats, but luckily my owners wiped their faces right before they got in. Hopefully we go back soon. I’m a big fan of Boston. Toyota made me so nice to drive that my family has only had me two months and have already driven me far enough for my first oil change. They said they’d bring me back to Woburn Toyota next weekend for my first oil change. That should be fun.

Last week my Boston Toyota dealership, Woburn Toyota, had a really busy week. I was very hopeful that I would get sold. Being a 2010 TRD Edition Toyota FJ Cruiser, I knew it couldn’t take too long. Sure enough, mid week, a young guy and his wife came over to look at me. They liked me a lot and took me for a test drive.

They had asked the salesman if they could take me down a bumpy dirt road to test out my Bilstein shocks and he agree. It was a lot of fun and was the first time I’ve done any real driving off the Woburn Toyota lot. To boot it was even on dirt! Two firsts in one day!

When they brought me back to my Toyota dealer Boston they went right inside to talk to their salesman. About an hour later they came outside and shook his hand, having bought me. I was really excited.

After being cleaned, they picked me up the following day. Just yesterday, they took me out for the most fun I’ve ever had. They drove me on an off-road trek through some hills in New Hampshire. I drove through water and over rocky boulders and I got so dirty. Later in the day my new owners took me through a car wash. What a fun day!

Spring has sprung and summer is just around the corner. At norwood toyota we think these easy trends will have you in tip top shape for summer as a lot of this springs trends are flowing right into the summer weather.

First trend of the season is neutrals. This is one of the easiest trends to incorporate into any wardrobe. A simple touch of beige or flesh can be added to black to make a bold statement. You can also have a monochromatic look with a neutral tone from head to toe.

Next on the list is peek-a-boo. We are seeing cutouts in everything from evening gowns to casual tops. Showing a little skin through a mesh stripe or intricate woven top adds instant depth and intrigue to any outfit. The sheer peek-a-boo could be anything from lace to mesh or complete cutouts to bands and straps. This one is a little trickier, but still having coverage over the cutouts makes it a bit easier.

Third we have an old classic brought back to life – metallics! We have seen this trend in the past, disco anyone?, but designers have added some glitter, glitz, and shimmer. We are seeing metallic pants to shimmery dresses and we are loving it! There are sequins and sparkles ranging from tiny to exotically large. Just remember, metallics and sequins reflect light making the object under them appear larger. Make sure you choose something flattering for your body type.

Then we have….feathers! Now this is probably the hardest to pull off and isn’t recommended for everyone. Feathers create a frothy look, but do add a lot of bulk. So curvy ladies beware! A simple, easy way to get the trend is with some feathery earrings or hair pieces. There are also some feather accented dresses and tops without all the bulk.

Another easy trend is the school spirit look. Get this look with knee socks, preppy stripes, gym clothes, and academic blazers. You can even mix and match this look with other trends of the season such as a striped top with a feathered skirt or a neutral top with an academic blazer. This look is as simple as it sounds. Who can’t pull off gym clothes?!

And working ladies will love the new leisure suit! These looks have are alive with jet-setting attire and effortlessly put together leisure dressing. From thin tee-like tops, to satin capri pant suits, loose fitting blazers and relaxed flowered tops this look is everything except uptight.

We hope we sparked some great ideas for your spring wardrobe. Just add a few of the trends to update your whole summer look! Let us know which trend is your favorite in the comment section below.

Consumer Reports has ranked the 2010 Toyota Prius Boston as the #1 Green Car in America!

Says Consumer Reports, “The Prius received a redesign for 2010. It’s still the most fuel-efficient car in our Ratings, getting 44 mpg overall. That distinction helped it earn our pick in this category for the seventh straight year, the longest of any current model. In addition, the Prius is a pleasant car to drive, with a roomy interior, a steady ride, hatchback versatility, and excellent reliability and crash-test results. The 2010 redesign also gave it a more solid feel and a dedicated EV mode that allows it to run longer on electric power at low speeds, an advantage mainly in slow, congested traffic. Price: $23,150-$26,950.”
